Job Description:
West Coast Sales and Marketing Director (Level 3 Technical Expert)
Encell has an opening for a Technical Sales and Marketing Director. This position is located remotely and must be based in the Western Region of the United States.
The Sentinel Sales and Marketing team members are a single point of contact for Encell’s Management and Distribution partners, to sell and market Encell’s Sentinel Battery Management Solutions to our customers. Under general functional direction of the Management Team, the successful candidate will provide commercial support to Encell’s commercial channel partners and direct clients, to initiate, manage and close the sales process in order to obtain orders for our Sentinel Battery Management Solutions. The successful candidate will own the sales process and leverage their technical team, product management team and executive management team to progress the sales cycle.
Responsibilities include:
• Drive commercial activity with customers to integrate and implement Encell Solutions.
• Prepare proposals.
• Follow-up and close orders.
• Deliver technical presentations and solutions.
• Deliver ROI sales story.
• Attend tradeshows and industry association meetings.
• Train Channel partners in Encell’s power management products, systems and applications.
• Feed customer data and information to create follow-up database.
• Feedback to product management on customer needs and applications not currently provided.
• Provide technical guidance regarding specific products and applications.
• Sell assigned product lines with the objective of optimizing sales volume, product mix, and profit margin.

Job Requirements:
Candidate must have direct experience selling to the Telco and the Telco Integrator. DC Plant and BTS engineering experience is a must. Deep relationships within Telecommunications Carriers, Telco Integrators and Telco Infrastructure Providers are required. BS/BA degree is required with a strong preference for engineering or other technical degrees. 5 years of related sales/marketing experience is required. Experience in selling Software as a Service is considered an advantage. The successful candidate must possess advanced technical sales aptitude, market channel knowledge, power distribution application expertise, interpersonal, customer service, and computer skills. Computer skills should include experience with Internet applications (salesforce.com), Microsoft Office applications, and other product configuration tools such as MS Visio. A candidate must be able to work in a team environment and possess strong organizational and follow-up skills.

Job Description:
Battery Chemist
Encell Technology has an opening for a top-level Electrochemist or Synthetic Chemist that will work on the company’s proprietary storage project related to electrochemical energy. The selected candidate will work on a diverse team towards the advancement of energy storage materials with top-of-the-line performance.
Major Responsibilities:
- Functionalize & develop advanced battery materials.
- Evaluate & design the latest electrode formulations.
- Implement & create methods of diagnostic testing for battery characterization.
- Perform analyses of performance and identify mechanisms that may be failing.
- Update both senior management & peers on the progress of the program.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS in Chemical, Synthetic or Electro- Chemistry. Advanced degrees preferred.
- At least three years of experience in energy storage or battery design.
- Strong skills in organometallic and/or inorganic synthesis, & characterization & isolation methods.
- Working experience of electrochemistry (battery testing & design is preferred).
- Able to be an independent worker and interface with a diverse team to accomplish objectives.
- Solid verbal & written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal, problem solving, & analytical skills.
- Able to meet deadlines & handle pressure.
Desirable:
- Direct battery manufacturing/development experience
- Electrode structure design experience
- Molecular modeling experience

Director of Marketing:
Encell Technology seeks a Director of Marketing to lead Global Marketing efforts. This person will be responsible for developing and maintaining marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
The position is based in Charlottesville, VA. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of electrical engineering, test and measurement offerings in the stand-by power and energy storage markets, and experience developing comprehensive marketing strategies with global scope. The candidate must be experienced in market research and statistical data/customer analysis modeling.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversees all marketing, public relations, advertising and marketing staff and activities.
- Creating, developing and measuring the success of comprehensive marketing campaigns by developing plans that articulate integrated strategies, including objectives, audience, key message, recommended touch points, metrics and call to action details.
- Ensuring the highest level of customer retention and lifetime value programs for each customer segment by developing plans that engage the customer.
- Executing market research (data overlays, surveys, industry trend reports) to identify overall business trends and develop compelling campaigns to meet the needs of each segment.
- Overseeing and making recommendations for developing timely, cost-effective production of all print sales/marketing initiatives including catalog, direct mail, letters and advertising.
- Managing the development of a process that supports campaigns, delivering the required results, leads, etc.
- Working closely with all departments and external vendors.
- Responsible for overseeing and making recommendations to optimize consumer acquisition and customer engagement.
- Supporting Marketing efforts when implementing the launch of new initiatives.
- Managing specific programs (tactical) while providing leadership in driving strategy.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- MBA with a concentration in marketing.
- 5+ years’ of experience working as an engineer in the test and measurement or storage market.
- 10+ years’ experience in a marketing leadership role.
- Experience in marketing of test and measurement, stand-by power or grid-scale storage market.
- Experience developing and executing successful strategic market strategies.
- Experience with storage test and measurement devices.
- Knowledge of world-wide stand-by battery and grid-scale energy storage market.
